This role will act as the in-country financial lead and primary point of contact for all Colombian accounting and tax matters associated with these contracts. Strong professional English communication skills are required, as the role involves regular reporting and coordination with international JV partners and stakeholders.\n\nResponsibilities:\nAccounting & Financial Management:\nEstablish and maintain accounting systems for the two awarded contracts in compliance with Colombian GAAP (NIIF) and applicable regulatory standards.\nManage full-cycle accounting, including:\nAccounts payable and accounts receivable\nGeneral ledger maintenance\nBank reconciliations\nExpense tracking and project-based cost allocation\nMonitor budgets and expenditures to ensure compliance with contract terms.\nPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for JV partners.\nMaintain audit-ready financial documentation.\nTax Compliance & Regulatory Filings\nEnsure full compliance with Colombian tax regulations, including:\nCorporate income tax (as applicable to joint ventures)\nVAT (IVA)\nWithholding taxes\nMunicipal and industry taxes (ICA and others)\nPrepare and submit all required tax filings accurately and on time.\nServe as the primary liaison with DIAN and other relevant tax authorities.\nMonitor legislative and regulatory changes and advise JV stakeholders on tax implications.\nCoordinate with external tax advisors and auditors as required.\nJoint Venture Financial Administration\nManage revenue and cost allocations in accordance with JV agreements.\nPrepare detailed financial reports for JV stakeholders in both Spanish and English.\nParticipate in virtual meetings with international stakeholders.\nSupport cash flow forecasting and funding coordination among JV partners.\nEnsure compliance with financial reporting requirements under the awarded contracts.\nSupport internal and external audits.\nCompliance & Internal Controls\nImplement and maintain appropriate internal controls.\nEnsure compliance with contractual financial provisions.\nSupport anti-corruption and compliance reporting obligations as required.\nMaintain organized digital recordkeeping systems suitable for remote operations.\n\nQualifications:\nBachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)\nColombian-licensed Public Accountant (required)\nTax specialization (preferred)\nMinimum of 57 years of accounting experience in Colombia\nStrong experience in Colombian tax compliance\nExperience with project-based accounting and cost tracking\nExperience supporting joint ventures or international organizations (preferred)\nStrong knowledge of Colombian NIIF and tax legislation\nExperience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Siigo, World Office, or similar platforms)\nAdvanced Excel skills\nFluent Spanish and professional-level English (written and verbal) required\nAbility to prepare financial reports and communicate effectively in both Spanish and English",
