The core project involves designing, optimizing and maintaining database infrastructures for development and production environments, ensuring high availability, data integrity and operational efficiency. You will work closely with engineering, architecture and operations teams to deliver robust solutions that support our clients' digital transformation.

Features
Provide development and/or production support for databases, including the creation of storage structures and primary objects.
Design and create data structures, modify schemas for improvements or performance, and document database interfaces and plans.
Review and optimize database performance, including monitoring, indexes, execution plans, and automated backup/restore strategies.
Manage storage, capacity planning, and future storage needs.
Create database-related scripts and programs for development and production environments; research and evaluate technical solutions.
Design, test and recommend improvements to stored procedures, triggers and views, optimizing SQL code and complex queries.
Manage data security (roles, encryption, authentication, auditing) and ensure compliance with security policies.
Participate in high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) projects using technologies such as AlwaysOn, log shipping or others.
Work with Microsoft SQL Server and/or Azure Database certifications and good practices, and keep technical knowledge up to date.

Description
At SONDA, we are looking for a Database Administrator with verifiable experience in SQL Server (2019 or higher) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be focused on performance optimization, security management and operational continuity, with the ability to design scalable and robust solutions. More than 5 years of experience in administration, optimization and management of SQL Server databases are required, as well as knowledge in replication, clustering, partitioning and log management. Must have experience in optimizing execution plans, maintaining backups, and in advanced security practices (TDE, Always Encrypted) and role management. Relevant Microsoft certifications will be valued. We are looking for a proactive, results-oriented professional, with communication and teamwork skills, capable of collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and in agile environments.

Desirable
Microsoft Certified SQL Server Database Administration certification or equivalent (Azure Database Administrator Associate, MCSE: Data Management and Analytics, MCITP: Database Administrator) is desirable. Experience in high availability environments, experience with SQL Server 2019 or higher, and knowledge of monitoring and performance tools will be an advantage. Scripting and automation capabilities (PowerShell, T-SQL) and experience in cloud database migrations and modernization will be a plus. Strong focus on quality, safety and compliance, with a continuous learning mindset and the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment.
