SENIOR ADMINISTRATOR OF LINUX PLATFORMS

Objective of the position

Manage, secure and optimize at an expert level the life cycle of Linux servers (with main standardization on Oracle Linux / RHEL), guaranteeing the stability of the middleware and the operational continuity of the services, independently of the underlying cloud infrastructure (Multi-Cloud). Act as a Level 3 technical referent for resolving complex incidents and automating operational processes.

Main responsibilities

Advanced OS Administration: Deep management, installation, configuration, tuning and hardening of Linux servers, prioritizing Oracle Linux and Red Hat Enterprise Linux, as well as support for legacy distributions (CentOS, Ubuntu).
OS Resource Management: Internal configuration of storage and network resources delivered by cloud providers (AWS, Azure, OCI, etc.), including partitioning, LVM volume management, XFS/EXT4 file systems and disk mounting.
Middleware support: Operational security, configuration and tuning of web services and applications (Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, Java).
Management of Observability Agents: Installation, maintenance and depuration of monitoring and security agents (Zabbix Agent, Wazuh Agent) ensuring correct communication with central servers.
Operational Automation: Design and maintenance of advanced scripts (Bash, Python) for task automation, cronjobs, log rotation and automatic remediation.
Incident Assistance Level 3: Diagnosis and resolution of alerts escalated by the SNOC, carrying out root cause analysis (RCA) on performance failures, across the operating system.
Maintenance and Updates: Execution of patch plans, management of repositories (yum/dnf/apt) and updating of critical packages.
Interaction with Customers: Participation in technical tables to support diagnoses and explain the behavior of the platform to internal or external customers.
Local Support Management: Configuration and verification of data synchronization tasks and backups at operating system level (use of rsync, tar, etc.).

Profile we are looking for

Academic Training

Professional in Systems Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications or related careers.
· Experience:
Minimum 5 years of verifiable experience managing high-availability Linux environments in production environments.

· Knowledge:

Operating Systems: Expert domain of Oracle Linux (UEK) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Management capacity in distributions such as CentOS and Ubuntu.
Cloud Environments (OS Level): Experience administering Linux instances on public cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure or GCP). The candidate must know how to operate the OS without depending on the cloud console.
Services and Protocols: SSH (advanced), local DNS, Web services (Apache, Nginx, SSL/TLS), Java/Tomcat.
System Tools: Expert storage management (LVM), process and memory management (Performance troubleshooting).
Agents: Experience operating Zabbix and Wazuh agents.
Scripting: Advanced level in Bash Shell and intermediate knowledge of Python for automation.
Automation Tools: Understanding flow tools like n8n (desirable).
Security on Linux: Configuring local firewalls (firewalld, iptables), permissions and user management.

Availability to respond to critical incidents after hours (Guardias).

Certifications: Oracle Linux System Administrator, RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer) — Deseables.
