Job Description

Foreign company with clients in Latam, specialized in IT infrastructure and managed services, is looking for a Systems Administrator for a 2-month contract (with the possibility of extension).

ABOUT THE ROLE:
You will manage, maintain and optimize customer infrastructures in the cloud, ensuring availability, performance and security. You will work with Linux servers, cloud architectures (mainly GCP), critical databases and production systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Administration of Linux servers (configuration, hardening, troubleshooting)
* Infrastructure management on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
* Support and resolution of incidents in production (reactive and proactive)
* Administration of MySQL databases
* Implementation and management of backups
* Systems monitoring and response to alerts
* Configuration and management of DNS, domains and CDN (Cloudflare)
* Implementation of security measures (firewalls, fail2ban, WAF)

INDISPENSABLE REQUIREMENTS:
* Linux: Advanced administration (Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS).
* Management of NGINX/Apache, Systemd, SSH.
* Cloud: Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform (Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, networking, IAM).
* Sysadmin: Minimum 3 years of experience in server administration and troubleshooting in production environments.
* Networks: General knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, basic routing.
* Security: Cloudflare (DNS, CDN, WAF), firewalls (UFW, iptables), hardening.
* Databases: MySQL / MariaDB.
* Git: Fluid use.

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE (non-exclusive):
* PHP (operational level), Node.js, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, Prometheus/Grafana, Datadog.
