Job Description

We are looking for a Data Analyst with experience in GCP to be incorporated into a 6-month project with a leading retail partner client.

Role objective:
This role must be in charge of developments related to the collection, analysis and enhancement of data according to business requirements, following the standards and protocols defined by the Business Intelligence team.

Required profile:
- Possess at least 3 years of experience in the role, ideally for Retail companies.
- Experience in Ecommerce projects
- Experience with BI flows or linked to the business
- Purposeful careers: Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering and Commercial Engineering
- Use of programming languages: Python, SQL
- Experience of at least 2 years in business/data analysis.
- Technical experience of at least 2 years in technologies such as:
o Google Cloud Platform: BigQuery, Looker and Looker Studio
- Intermediate LookML data modeling experience
o Power Platform: Power BI and Power App
or Excel
- English to read and write documentation (level B1)

General functions:
- Data Collection: Collect data from various sources, such as databases, csv files, web APIs, among others.
- Data Preprocessing: Cleaning and formatting data to prepare it for analysis. This may include eliminating errors, correcting inconsistencies, and managing missing data.
- Data Transformation: Conversion of data to a format that can be easily analyzed. This may include normalizing data, coding categorical variables, and creating new variables from existing ones.
- Data Storage: Store the transformed data in an easily accessible location for later analysis. This can be in a data warehouse, database, or data lake.
- Automation: Creation of automated processes for data collection, preprocessing, transformation and storage tasks.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all data pipeline processes and operations, as well as any changes or updates made.
- Data collection and analysis: Analyze data, perform trend analysis, categorize data based on trends highlighting data correlations. Reviews results with stakeholders, makes recommendations to departmental management regarding data insights, and performs modeling to determine potential impact, risks, and escalation points related to security issues.
