Overview
Wills Wing is a growing international manufacturing business serving global clients from its production base in Mexico, operating under a US holding structure.
We are seeking a Head of Finance (60% capacity) to lead and oversee the finance function end-to-end, serving as a strategic partner to leadership while remaining hands-on in daily operations.
This role requires a finance professional who is comfortable operating in a dynamic, entrepreneurial manufacturing environment able to move fluidly between operational detail and strategic oversight.
We are targeting candidates with relevant experience in small to mid-sized manufacturing or industrial businesses.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Strategy
Act as financial partner to the Chairman, CEO, and management team.
Lead budgeting, rolling forecasts, and scenario planning.
Define and monitor KPIs related to profitability, cash flow, and operational performance.
Treasury, Cash Flow & Working Capital
Own daily and weekly cash flow management and treasury operations.
Optimize working capital (accounts receivable, payable, and inventory).
Ensure effective balance between liquidity and stock levels.
Inventory, Costing & Manufacturing Finance
Oversee inventory controls, periodic stock takes, and reconciliations.
Develop and maintain product costing and margin analysis.
Partner closely with production to improve gross margins.
Management Reporting & Consolidation
Deliver accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
Prepare structured reporting packages for leadership and the Board.
Lead group consolidation across entities and support investor reporting.
Statutory, Tax & Compliance (Mexico & US Context)
Coordinate statutory filings and tax compliance in Mexico and at the US holding level, working with external advisors.
Ensure consistent accounting policies and robust internal controls.
Support intercompany transactions, transfer pricing, and cross-border tax structures.
Banking, Payment Platforms & Reconciliations
Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, and expense processing.
Ensure timely reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and payment gateways.
Strengthen order-to-cash processes and revenue recognition practices.
Familiarity with cloud-based financial platforms such as Xero and Revolut is highly desirable.
Operational & Administrative Oversight
Manage day-to-day finance operations.
Oversee reporting and administrative processes.
Support HR-related tasks during CEO absence, ensuring continuity of operations.
Maintain operational discipline and financial visibility across the business.
Team, Systems & Continuous Improvement
Build and lead a lean, high-caliber finance function.
Improve finance systems, documentation, and reporting tools.
Promote a culture of accountability, ownership, and commercial thinking.
Candidate Profile
Experience
510 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance.
Experience in small or mid-sized manufacturing or industrial environments is essential.
Strong treasury, cash flow, inventory, cost accounting, reporting, and compliance background.
Experience operating in multi-entity and international environments.
Exposure to US reporting standards (US GAAP context) preferred.
Experience with cloud-based accounting systems (e.g., Xero), digital banking platforms (e.g., Revolut), and payment gateways.
Education & Technical Skills
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
Professional certification preferred (CPA, CA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
Strong Excel and financial modelling capabilities.
Comfortable with ERP, accounting integrations, and cloud-based finance tools.
Fluent English and Spanish (written and spoken).

Based in the Mexico City / Toluca / Valle de Bravo region with regular presence at the manufacturing site.
Compensation
This is a 60% part-time senior leadership role.
Base compensation range:
USD $18,000 $24,000 annually
Equivalent to approximately MXN $25,000 $34,000 gross per month, depending on exchange rate and final structure.
Compensation reflects reduced time capacity while maintaining senior-level scope and responsibility.
