Job Description

At Ecosystems we are looking for a Backend Developer / API Developer with solid experience in API design and development, to join our technology team.
The selected person will be responsible for designing, implementing and optimizing scalable and secure APIs, guaranteeing fluid integration with different systems and applications, in addition to ensuring the quality, documentation and continuous improvement of the solutions.
Responsibilities
Design and develop RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs according to functional and technical requirements.
Document, maintain and ensure that APIs comply with industry best practices.
Collaborate with front-end, back-end teams and other stakeholders to integrate APIs into different systems.
Optimize the performance of APIs (response times, caching, rate limiting, etc.).
Implement security practices to protect APIs against threats (SQL Injection, XSS, CSRF, etc.) and ensure regulatory compliance (e.g. HIPAA).
Develop and execute unit, integration and end-to-end tests.
Debug and resolve issues related to functionality, performance, and security.
Create and maintain complete API documentation (endpoints, usage guides, examples).
Provide support to internal and external teams that use the APIs.
Stay updated on trends and good practices in API and microservices development.
Requirements
University degree in Computer Science, IT or similar.
+5 years of experience in API development and integration.
Mastery of programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java or C.
Experience in microservices architecture.
Use of frameworks and tools such as Spring Boot.
Knowledge of API security and authentication (OAuth, JWT, API Keys).
Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
Experience with version control systems (Git).
Excellent troubleshooting, debugging and diagnostic skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality solutions.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
