In this role, we will contribute to the design and evolution of data platforms on Google Cloud, ensuring scalability, reliability and governance. The objective is to enable advanced analytics and efficient data consumption for different business teams, integrating modern modeling, orchestration and governance practices throughout the information lifecycle.

As Data Architect at Factor IT, our goal is to design and standardize data solutions in Google Cloud that allow data to be transformed into reliable and timely decisions. Your main responsibilities will be:
Design the end-to-end data architecture considering ingestion, storage, processing, modeling and consumption.
Develop and optimize pipelines using
BigQuery
and orchestrators like
Airflow
, in addition to automations with
Data flow
when applicable.
Deploy and maintain
data modeling
(for example, analytical layers and/or dimensional models) ensuring performance and semantic consistency.
Create and maintain automations with
dbt
, defining transformations, testing and data documentation.
Manage the
data governance
: standards, access, quality, lineage and good practices for the responsible use of information.
Promote engineering patterns (CI/CD, versioning, testing and monitoring) to ensure operational stability in productive environments.
Coordinate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable and measurable solutions.

We are looking for a Data Architect with solid experience to lead the design and evolution of modern data solutions in cloud environments. We need you to have an advanced level of SQL and to be able to apply that knowledge to optimize performance, ensure quality and solve complex problems.

Expected experience
Participation in the construction and/or improvement of data platforms aimed at analytics and decision making.
Ability to define standards and engineering guides for teams that consume and develop on the platform.
Experience working with data quality practices, standardization and access controls.

GCP Data Engineer Certification

Additional experience with designing scalable data architectures and cost optimization in BigQuery.
Knowledge of data governance patterns (catalog/metadata, lineage, access policies) and measurable quality practices.
Experience leading end-to-end initiatives (from architecture definition to production launch and evolutionary support).
