Job Description

BC Tecnología, an IT consulting firm with a focus on IT services, is looking for a Security Architect for a strategic project. The role will integrate cybersecurity practices into the design, development and implementation of digital platforms, ensuring regulatory compliance and data protection. You will participate in an agile environment, with high-level clients in sectors such as financial services, insurance, retail and government, and you will work on the definition of security strategies, security governance and risk assessment throughout the life cycle of the platforms.

This project will contribute to strengthening the security of architectures and guaranteeing compliance with international regulations and standards.

Main functions
Implement a security governance model aligned with applicable standards and frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST CSF, etc.).
Advise on Security by Design and review platform architecture to ensure robust security controls.
Perform risk assessments and define access controls, encryption, authentication and traceability.
Coordinate security testing (pentesting, SAST/DAST) and supplier audits.
Manage regulatory compliance and coordinate with IT, security and business areas to ensure the implementation of controls.
Collaborate with development and DevSecOps teams to integrate security practices into the development lifecycle.
Management of third parties and suppliers in security projects.

Requirements and desired profile
Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity or similar.
5+ years of experience in information security (exclusive).
Desirable certifications: CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001, CEH.
Experience in APIs, cloud services, DevSecOps and third-party management.
Knowledge of security frameworks and relevant regulations, especially in pension, financial or government sectors.
Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into technical controls and secure architectures.
Excellent communication skills, teamwork and results-oriented approach.

Additional skills and experience
Experience in regulated environments and with complex security policies; influence capacity and technical leadership; Proven experience in large-scale projects and cloud migrations; management of security tools and compliance management platforms; Intermediate-advanced English for documentation and technical communications.
