Job Description
At SONDA we are looking for a Fortinet WAN Network Architect to lead the design, standardization and technical governance of WAN solutions in large-scale and highly critical projects. The role will be aimed at ensuring resilient connectivity, traffic optimization and operational continuity in distributed environments with multiple headquarters and integration with different ISPs and LAN platforms.

Design Fortinet SD-WAN architectures for large-scale corporate environments.
Define WAN topologies, traffic policies, segmentation and connectivity standards.
Lead technical decisions related to routing, resilience, performance and security.
Design and implement SLA policies, traffic steering, balancing and prioritization of critical applications.
Integrate SD-WAN solutions with Cisco/Meraki LAN platforms and corporate services.
Standardize configurations and automation using FortiManager.
Define monitoring and performance metrics using FortiAnalyzer.
Perform advanced N3 troubleshooting and technical coordination with ISP, manufacturers and partners.
Engineering in Networks, Telecommunications, Telematics, Cybersecurity or related careers.
More than 10 years of experience in networks and security, and at least 5 years as an SD-WAN Architect.
Verifiable experience in large-scale Fortinet SD-WAN projects (+100 sites).
Advanced knowledge in FortiGate, FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer.
Solid experience in dynamic routing (BGP, OSPF), IPSec, ADVPN and high availability (HA).
Experience integrating WAN solutions with Cisco/Meraki LAN networks and multiple ISPs.
Ability to provide technical leadership, solve complex problems and work with stakeholders.
Current Fortinet NSE 7 certification or equivalent.
Desirable aspects:
Experience in critical health, banking or telecommunications projects.
Knowledge in automation and standardization of massive configurations.
Experience in MPLS, Internet and LTE/5G hybrid architectures.
Advanced troubleshooting management on FortiOS CLI, debugging and traffic analysis.
Additional certifications in networks, security and related manufacturers.
