Looking for a lighting artist to create visual environments and cinematic scenes within a video game development environment.
Responsibilities:
Creating ambient lighting at all stages of development in collaboration with the environmental art and design teams.
Collaboration with the cinematography team to validate the selection of shots and offer guidance on aspects related to lighting.
Final delivery of lighting in cinematographic sequences.
Collaborate with Art Director and Technical Art Director to understand and maintain visual style and lighting direction within technical limitations.
Collaboration with technical art and core technology teams to resolve technical lighting issues.
Composition of shots, lighting and rendering of key images for artwork and marketing when necessary.
Requirements:
Great ability to appreciate visual quality, composition and color theory.
Understanding how lighting can enhance gameplay by providing atmosphere and emotional impact.
Good knowledge of technical limitations and how to work within them.
Minimum of 2 years experience in the video game industry for PC or consoles.
Experience with Unreal Engine or similar.
Good knowledge and understanding of 3D art tools.
