Looking for an experienced Senior Character Artist to join a new dark fantasy multiplayer title developed with Unreal Engine 5. The selected person will contribute to the creation of new characters, creatures, and character-related objects within this project.
Responsibilities:
Maintain a consistent style following the direction of the art director.
Modeling and texturing of characters.
Create optimized models that balance visuals with performance.
Participate in solving technical and artistic problems.
Collaborate with rigging and animation teams to ensure models are properly constructed and meet technical requirements.
Share knowledge with younger team members when necessary.
Requirements:
Portfolio that demonstrates the quality of the work, with special attention to realistic shapes and surface treatment.
Skilled in modeling and texturing, using industry standard software such as Maya, ZBrush and Substance Painter.
Knowledge of the 3D character creation process aimed at realistic representation in modern game engines.
Knowledge of human and animal anatomy, with the ability to provide verisimilitude to the designs of fantastic characters.
Experience in organic modeling, character costumes and hard surfaces, able to complete a character model from high poly sculpt to final game-ready mesh.
Ability to transform 2D conceptual sketches into detailed and functional 3D models.
Visual sensitivity to maintain coherence between conceptual art and modeling.
Minimum of 6 years experience in video game development as a character artist.
Advanced knowledge of English.
