Job Description
Looking for someone with experience creating real-time visual effects using Unreal Engine, participating in the integration of VFX into game environments and collaborating with art, design and development teams to bring the visual vision of the project to life.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop visual effects in real time using Unreal Engine's Niagara and Cascade systems.
Collaborate with art direction, design and development to materialize the visual vision of the project.
Optimize visual effects for performance while maintaining quality across platforms.
Create shaders and materials using the Unreal Engine material editor to support complex VFX systems.
Integrate visual effects into game environments ensuring consistency with characters and gameplay.
Iterate on effects based on team feedback, balancing artistic vision and technical limitations.
Maintain documentation of workflows, tools and best practices.
Requirements:
Experience with Unreal Engine, especially the Niagara system.
Knowledge of particle systems, physics simulations, lighting and post-processing.
Experience in creating shaders and materials in Unreal Engine.
Knowledge of video game development pipelines and performance optimization.
Knowledge of 3D tools such as Maya, Blender or Houdini valuable.
Good artistic sense of movement, color, composition and timing.
Ability to work autonomously and in a team.
Written and spoken English level.
