Job Description
We are looking for a person to join a video game development team as a technical artist specialized in procedural generation and Unreal Engine. The role focuses on work on the UE5 pipeline, its optimization and scalability, collaborating with the art and engineering teams to maintain the visual quality of the project without compromising performance on different platforms.
Responsibilities:
Configure and maintain the procedural pipeline ensuring visual consistency and compliance with performance objectives.
Collaborate with art and engineering teams to integrate technical solutions within the Unreal Engine.
Develop and improve tools and techniques to optimize game resources, materials, shaders and environments.
Work on the optimization of the rendering and procedural generation pipeline in Unreal Engine or proprietary engines.
Document workflows, tools and good practices to facilitate the team's work.
Participate in the continuous improvement of technical processes related to the creation of environments and assets.
Requirements:
More than 5 years of experience in video game development or 3D content industry.
More than 2 years of experience as a technical artist.
Experience with Unreal Engine 4 or Unreal Engine 5 and knowledge of their art and rendering pipelines.
Knowledge of performance optimization techniques in video games.
Experience with procedural generation in Unreal Engine.
Houdini experience.
Experience developing tools and scripts to improve artistic workflows.
Experience in creating and optimizing materials, shaders and visual effects in gaming environments.
Knowledge of environment creation pipelines such as modular modeling.
Experience with world systems such as landscapes, procedural vegetation, and environment tools.
Use of 3D software such as Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, ZBrush or Substance.
Knowledge of scripting in Python or other similar languages ​​applied to tools.
Experience with visual effects tools such as Niagara or Embergen is an advantage.
Experience in developing editorial tools and process automation.
