AutoCAD Revit Designer (fluent English), full-time, freelance & remote, for a Canadian company in the commercial kitchen equipment sector.

About the role:
We are looking for an AutoCAD Revit Designer to design and produce the AutoCAD and Revit files behind a full product line. Your drawings give customers the key elements to maximize their commercial kitchen designs and layouts, working alongside an experienced in-house team.

What you'll do:
• Design and produce AutoCAD and Revit files for the full product range
• Create precise 2D and 3D technical drawings
• Interpret technical specifications and translate concepts into drawings and 3D models
• Revise and update existing files to meet client requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations
• Maintain accurate documentation of drawing changes and project versions, and ensure compliance with company standards
• Own assigned projects end-to-end and deliver on deadline

Requirements:
• Fluent written and spoken English (B2-C1)
• Technical, college, or bachelor's degree in design, drafting, CAD, or a related field
• Advanced, hands-on proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
• Min. 3 years of relevant CAD / drafting design experience
• Strong 2D and 3D technical drawing skills (dimensioning, scaling) and ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
• Familiarity with SolidWorks or similar 3D modeling software
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
• A portfolio of relevant CAD work to present at the interview

Nice to have:
• Your own valid AutoCAD and Revit licenses
• Knowledge of industry-specific codes and CAD layer standards
• Project management skills and a consistent on-time delivery record
• High attention to detail and strong visualization / spatial reasoning
• Collaborative, team-oriented working style with a customer-service mindset

Working conditions
• Contract: freelance - independent contractor, permanent position with a contract renewable every 180 days, either party may terminate it with 10 days' prior notice
• Compensation: Competitive fees, in accordance with the candidate's experience and profile
• Schedule: full-time, remote; you must be available during U.S. Eastern Time business hours (8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. ET) during specific core hours (3-4 hours), the remainder of the schedule is flexible
• Public holidays are unpaid due to the freelance nature of the contract.
• Equipment: you provide your own computer / workstation; all source files are stored on the company's servers
• Start date: as soon as possible
