Job Description

We are looking for a professional specialized in language, literature, communication, linguistics, Spanish teaching or related areas, with verifiable experience in Higher Secondary Education, to develop content and activities for high school students.

The profile must have experience in reading, writing and speaking as social practices, and be able to transform disciplinary content into learning situations close to the contexts, interests, experiences and forms of communication of adolescents.
We are especially looking for a person capable of designing activities in which reading, writing, narrating, dialoguing or producing content have a recognizable communicative purpose for the student, avoiding exclusively mechanical or decontextualized exercises.

Responsibilities
•\ Develop educational content related to reading, writing, oral and communication practices.
•\ Design learning situations that are based on experiences, problems, interests and contexts close to Higher Secondary Education students.
•\ Propose activities in which texts are used with specific communicative purposes, identifiable recipients and meaningful use situations.
•\ Design projects that articulate reading, writing, orality and production in digital media or formats.
•\ Adapt the contents and instructions to the language, level of development and experiences of high school students.
•\ Collaborate with the Pedagogy and Editing areas during the review processes.
•\ Incorporate the pedagogical and editorial observations made to the manuscript.
•\ Comply with the guidelines, formats, schedules and delivery dates established for the work.

Academic training
Bachelor's degree completed in one of the following or related areas:
•\ Spanish Teaching / Language and Literature.
•\ Hispanic Letters, Literature or related areas.
•\ Linguistics or Applied Linguistics.
•\ Communication.
•\ Education, Pedagogy or related areas, provided that specialized training or experience in language teaching, reading, writing or orality is proven.

Postgraduate studies, diplomas or complementary training in language teaching, literacy, reading and writing, communication, literature, applied linguistics or Higher Secondary Education will be valued.

Essential experience
•\ Verifiable teaching or professional experience in Higher Secondary Education.
•\ Experience in designing activities, teaching sequences, educational materials or resources for high school students.
•\ Verifiable ability to design contextualized and meaningful activities, linked to real or credible communicative situations and to the interests and experiences of adolescents.
•\ Excellent writing skills and command of written Spanish.
Desirable knowledge and skills
•\ Linguistics and discourse analysis.
•\ Popular literature and narratives.
•\ Reading, writing and oral processes.
•\ Text production and editing.
•\ Digital communication and multimodal formats.
•\ Teaching design and learning evaluation.
•\ Knowledge of the current context of Higher Secondary Education in Mexico.
