About the Role
We are looking for reliable, self-driven, and bilingual (Spanish-English) professionals to join our team as Medical Virtual Receptionists. In this role, you will support healthcare clients by handling a variety of administrative and patient-facing tasks—all while working remotely.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, from managing communications to coordinating appointments. We provide training and ongoing support to help you succeed while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
What You Will Do
• Handle inbound and outbound communications in a US healthcare setting (calls, emails, messages)
• Schedule and manage patient appointments and meetings
• Provide customer engagement and client support
• Interface professionally with patients and healthcare clients
• Maintain and update databases, records, and reports
• Assist with additional administrative tasks and projects as needed
What We Are Looking For
• Bilingual (Spanish & English) with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Graduate of any Allied Health course is highly preferred
• At least 1 year of experience handling US healthcare account required (BPO or CPO or direct freelance roles with providers)
• Neutral or minimal accent with clear communication skills
• Experience using EMR/EHR systems (required)
• Experience with insurance verification (required)
• Neutral or minimal accent with clear communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, patient-facing environment
• Willingness to learn and adapt quickly
IT Device Requirement:
To be eligible for onboarding, your device MUST meet the following,
Operating System:
• Windows 11 (64-bit) - genuine and activated
• Windows 10 (64-bit) - supported only until February 2025
• Mac and Huawei devices are NOT allowed
Hardware:
• Reliable processor: Intel Core i5, i7, i9 or AMD Ryzen 3,5,7 or higher
• At least 8GB to 12GB RAM
• Functional webcam and noise-canceling headset
• Antivirus software installed and active
• Backup power source recommended
• Storage and Browser: At least 128GB (preferrable SSD)
Internet:
• Stable, high-speed connection

Yes. We follow strict HIPAA standards and train all VAs to handle patient information securely.

Yes. We have clients who require bilingual virtual assistants.

Yes. We also have BIZVA (Business Virtual Assistant) roles, though our main priority is candidates with medical backgrounds.
• What is MEDVA’s payment platform?
All MEDVA Admins and VAs are using myMEDVA Pay platform.
• Will I be required to use a time tracker?
Yes, MEDVA uses Time Doctor 2 for productivity monitoring.
• Do we get paid PTO and holidays?
Paid time off (PTO), holidays, bonuses, and paid breaks may be offered depending on your client. Many of our clients provide these as part of their work arrangements, while others may follow different setups based on business needs.
• Does MEDVA provide PC/Laptop devices or the internet?
No. Applicants must use their own device and internet connection.
• What is the WiFi and Device Check?
We verify that your internet connection and equipment meet the requirements for remote work. This includes checking connection speed, camera, and audio. ",
