Currently looking for a Virtual Assistant to join the Specials Department of a Personal Injury law firm on the East Coast of the United States.
The role is fast-paced and ideal for detail-oriented professionals with strong communication skills.
Job Description:
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Comfortable speaking on the phone with clients and medical providers
- Experience with medical records and medical bill collections is a big plus
- Spanish/English bilingual required
- Comfortable using online case management systems (training will be provided)
- Ability to handle and document/gather medical records
- Redaction and editing of documents (PDF / Adobe)
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient or willing to learn with Microsoft Office platforms
- Work with the legal department and paralegals of the law firm surrounding all
objectives and activities focused on preparing documents for client cases
surrounding injury claims.
- A critical position if you're interested in gaining exposure to US Personal Injury law
in a legal setting. Fully integrated into the operations of the law firm with an
established team of VAs already on the project and also working closely with US
staff.
**If you have experience in US personal injury law, are a lawyer, or have experience as a medical interpreter or having worked with US healthcare, that will be a major plus to your profile. Please apply.
Work Structure and Hours:
- Full-Time Hours, 45 hours per week
- Monday-Friday, 8:30AM-4:30PM Eastern Time.
Possibility of West Coast times 8/9AM-5/6PM Pacific Time.
- Weekends Off
- Independent Contractor, placed on a permanent project. Stability in the work, with
can be a long-term placement.
Compensation:
- $900-$1,000 USD Monthly: [14,200 - 15,800 MXN]
- $950-$1,050 USD Monthly after three months: [15,000-16,600 MXN]
- $1,000-$1,100 USD Monthly after six months: [15,800-17,500 MXN]
- $1,075-$1,200 USD Monthly after first year anniversary: [17,000-19,000 MXN]
- The longer you are on the project, the more you earn the economic benefit of your
long-term reliability
- Two increases in pay after the first six months, with another guaranteed increase
at the end of the first year.
- The starting pay is determined by the strength of background experience and the
level of English quality.
Requirements:
- Must Have: Good English level skills, upper to high level B2 or better on English
Standard Classification.
- Ideal Profiles: Medical Interpreter experience / Experience in legal / Experience
with US law firms / Licensed lawyer in Mexico / Experience with Medical
Healthcare companies in the US.
- Willing to accept candidates of any background. Other potential job openings may
be available with other job descriptions.
- Excellent English listening Skills. Very important to have listening strength and be
able to capture specific details related to diverse and complex legal workflows.
- Detailed and Extensive writing skills: Able to write comprehensive notes in English
and be proactive with internal communication, situational explanations, and
collaborative posture.
- Able to commit full-time to this project and make it a long-term proposition.
- We are looking for someone long-term and not someone interested in short-term
contract or duration.
- Have a home office space with a quiet environment, good quality internet
connectivity, and good quality audio headset.
Process Guidance:

- We will schedule a one-hour video interview with you to determine if you are a
good fit to be a candidate for the position, and for the agency.
- If selected, an offer will be made and a start-date outlined.
- Anticipated start-date for the position mentioned above is around Feb. 2nd-
Feb.16th.
