CAD Technician Rhino 3D (Production / CNC / Composites)\n\nWe are looking for a detailoriented, organized, and processdriven Remote CAD Technician with strong experience in Rhinoceros 3D to support production work for fiberglass and composite parts, primarily for the marine / boatbuilding industry.\nThis role is focused on handson execution and manufacturing preparation, converting 3D geometry into accurate 2D flat patterns, CNC cut files, and layout documentation.\nIt is not a conceptual design, engineering, or leadership role. Accuracy, consistency, and organization are far more important than creativity.\nResponsibilities\n\nWork in Rhino 3D to manipulate and organize 3D models.\nFlatten / unroll 3D surfaces into precise 2D patterns (Unroll, Smash, Rebuild workflows).\nClean, join, and prepare geometry for production use.\nOrganize 2D parts for manufacturing and kit layouts.\nApply offsets, overlaps, and splits based on established standards.\nLabel and organize parts using layers, numbering, and naming conventions.\nPrepare CNC cut files, properly nested for roll or sheet materials.\nGenerate layout / schematic PDFs showing part placement and assembly steps.\nOrganize files and documentation according to defined production workflows.\nExecute tasks independently based on provided instructions and standards.\nRequirements, Skills, and Qualifications\n\nStrong proficiency in Rhinoceros 3D (required).\nSolid understanding of:\n3D geometry and surface manipulation\nConverting 3D surfaces into 2D flat patterns\n2D drafting and layout organization\nHigh attention to detail and accuracy.\nOrganized, reliable, and processdriven mindset.\nAbility to work independently in a remote environment.\nComfort working in a repetitive, executionfocused technical role.\nEnglish level: Functional to Professional (spoken and written).\nNice to have:\nExperience with fiberglass, composites, or boat building.\nCNC machining or cutfile preparation experience.\nPart nesting for material optimization.\nFamiliarity with roll goods and sheet goods layouts.\nLayerbased CAD organization.\nPosition Details\n\nType: FullTime\nWork Mode: Remote\nSchedule: Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM 05:00 PM EST\nEnglish Level: Functional to Professional\nExperience Level: MidLevel (executionfocused, nonleadership role)\nIndustry: Manufacturing / Composites / Marine / CAD & CNC Production",
