Job Description
Key Account Manager (Hunter) - Travel (Argentina, Buenos Aires)
Location: AMBA (preferred): remote and frequent in-person meetings with agencies
Department: Sales
Reports to: National/Regional Sales Leadership
Remuneration: Base USD 2,000/month + strong monthly variable
About the role
We're hiring a true travel industry hunter: someone who thrives on opening new accounts, activating travel agencies, and growing revenue in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. You will bring an active network in the Argentine travel ecosystem and resilience to pressured prospects while collaborating closely with internal sales and KAM peers.
what you will do
- Open New Logo: Create and execute an onboarding plan for target agencies (corporate and retail), conduct a high volume of first meetings and convert them into active accounts.
- Own the territorial pipeline: Maintain a rolling prospecting plan (AMBA approach), daily outreach and disciplined follow-ups in CRM (Epicenter).
- Develop key relationships: build high-level relationships with agency/wholesale decision makers; become your reference business partner.
- Run a data-driven cadence: track activity, conversion and GTV to goal; report performance and actions weekly using CRM + BI (Power BI).
- Enable and Train: Deliver short, effective trainings (onsite/virtual) for agents to accelerate adoption and bookings.
- Work in the field: attend industry events and trade shows; Schedule five meaningful meetings per day (new or existing agencies).
What will make you successful?
- Hunter: Prospecting for energy, creativity and comfort with rejection.
- Active business portfolio: Current and viable network of travel agencies in Argentina (last 2 to 3 years).
- Data-driven mindset: you manage your funnel based on numbers (activity, hit rate, conversion, GTV).
- Team Player: Big drive without ego - earned through collaboration, not as a lone rock star.
- Resilience and urgency: you like monthly goals and a solid incentive plan.
Essential qualifications
- Recent travel experience (current or immediately previous) with agency responsibilities.
- Proven track record in opening new accounts and activating agencies (not just agriculture/renewals).
- Comfortable with CRM (Epicenter or similar) and BI/reporting (Power BI); Excel Sheets/Solid Sheets.
- Functional fluency in English for contracts/reports and technical conversations (GDS/booking/KPIs).
- Willingness to travel locally; Mobility itself is a plus (not mandatory).
It's good to have it
- Previous experience with or against key market players.
- Experience in public speaking/training for retail and wholesale audiences.
- Familiarity with internal sales collaboration models and online sales portals.
What we offer
- Competitive variable plan paid monthly.
- Health stipend (USD 100), mobility/internet/phone covered and annual business budget.
- International exposure and a highly autonomous environment focused on results.
- Remote work with a strong presence in the local market.
