This is a fully remote position working directly with the owner and supporting the financial operations of multiple construction projects.\nWe are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their work, and can provide accurate financial information that supports business decisions.\nThis role focuses on construction bookkeeping only and does not include tax preparation or tax filing responsibilities.\nKey Responsibilities\nTrack project costs and job-related expenses with accuracy.\nMaintain accurate Job Costing records for multiple construction projects.\nPrepare and update Work in Progress (WIP) schedules.\nMonitor project profitability and cost performance.\nPrepare monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) reports.\nMaintain and reconcile Balance Sheet accounts.\nRecord daily financial transactions.\nReconcile bank and credit card accounts.\nReview and categorize expenses appropriately.\nAssist with month-end financial close.\nIdentify discrepancies and resolve bookkeeping issues proactively.\nMaintain organized financial records and supporting documentation.\nCollaborate directly with the owner to provide timely financial information and project cost updates.\nRequired Qualifications\n3+ years of construction bookkeeping experience.\nStrong understanding of Job Costing.\nExperience preparing and maintaining WIP reports.\nSolid knowledge of Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reporting.\nExperience with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software.\nExperience with project-based accounting.\nKnowledge of construction cost codes.\nExperience supporting multiple construction projects simultaneously.\nExperience with budgeting and project financial reporting.\nStrong Excel and/or Google Sheets skills.\nExcellent English communication skills.\nHigh attention to detail and accuracy.\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.\nWere Looking For Someone Who Is\nHighly organized and detail-oriented.\nProactive and self-motivated.\nComfortable working in a fast-paced environment.\nAble to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.\nResponsive and dependable.\nComfortable receiving direct feedback and adapting quickly.\nSolutions-oriented with a strong sense of ownership.\nAble to execute efficiently without sacrificing accuracy.\nProfessional, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality work.\nInterested in building a long-term working relationship.",
