Position: Construction Project Management & Estimating Specialist
Job Type: Part-time (20 hours/week) to start with intention to expand to Full Time (40 hours/week)
Location: Remote, US-MST daytime hours
Salary Range: $11-$13/hr (USD)
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Management & Estimating Specialist to assist their leadership team with backend operations, project management software integration, and estimating support.
This role requires a professional with experience in the US construction industry. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented problem solver capable of managing documentation, build schedules, and client selections to ensure high-quality project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Operational & Project Support
-Manage backend administrative tasks and keep project documents organized.
-Coordinate between Owner, Project Manager and Site Supervisor to facilitate smooth operations.
-Assist with the client selection process and ensure all choices are documented in the correct location with accurate pricing and vendor information.
-Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure correct materials are on the job site when needed.
Help estimate build schedules and track project progress through JobTread. Support intake coordination for new construction projects and upload necessary documentation.
-Monitor inboxes, triage messages, and route communication to the appropriate team members.
-Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or training recordings for company workflows.
Estimating & Financial Coordination
-Review architectural and structural plans and drawings to understand structural requirements and nail/strap details.
-Perform takeoffs and measurements to support accurate project estimating.
-Communicate with stakeholders to gather necessary context and answer technical questions regarding project specs.
-Utilize QuickBooks to organize financial data and ensure integration with project management software.
-Process orders and track signatures for necessary project approvals. Manage documentation backlogs, including pending notes and unsigned entries.
Personal Assistant & Executive Support
-Provide direct administrative support to the owner and his wife as needed.
-Assist with managing personal schedules, tasks, and miscellaneous life administration.
-Act as a hybrid executive assistant to streamline daily operations for the leadership team.
-Handle varied tasks to maintain owner productivity and company focus.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
-Minimum of three years of experience working with US-based construction companies required.
-Ability to read and interpret construction plans, architecture, and structural details.
-Highly organized with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal team coordination.
-Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving roles in a growing company.
Bonus / Nice-to-Have Skills
-Experience with AutoCAD or similar drafting software for reviewing drawings.
-Experience with JobTread or similar project management software
-Experience with QuickBooks or similar and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, etc.)
-Experience with video editing and content management for social media platforms.
-Familiarity with social media management to help grow the company's online presence.
-Experience in quality assurance or operational compliance roles.",
