Legal and Collections Coordinator (Bilingual) – Remote (Company USA)

Salary: $18,000 – $35,000 MXN/month (depending on experience)
English: Advanced (REQUIREMENT – formal writing and calls)
IA: Advanced use in research and writing (REQUIREMENT – validated in test)

Purpose of the position
Lead the collections/collections system, contracts, compliance and case management. Prepare files with evidence for escalation with external lawyers in California and protect cashflow. You don't need to know construction or California laws at the beginning. We train you.

Responsibilities
Collections (priority #1)
Disciplined monitoring of overdue accounts (AR)
Writing emails and demand letters in English
Collection cadence (day 1/7/14/21/escalation) + documentation
Case management + evidence
Complete files: contract, emails, photos, punchlists, timeline
Lawyer-ready cases (no shortages); naming conventions and total traceability

Outside Attorneys (California)
Find, rate and recommend attorneys; coordinate communication and costs
Contracts + compliance
Prepare/review contracts (templates); version control, signatures and archive
Legal investigation and processes
Research on applicable frameworks in California; SOPs, executive memos
AI – Mandatory application
Use AI for: legal research, demand letter drafts, case structuring, memos, SOPs
It is evaluated in the test: quality of the process with AI, not just the result

100% AR due with next step documented weekly
0 escalated cases without complete file
0 critical documents without final version signed/archived
Control of legal expenses vs budget

Requirements
Essential
Complete Bachelor's Degree in Law
Advanced English (formal writing and professional communication)
Experience in collections, contracts, compliance or legal coordination
Advanced use of AI for research and writing
Leadership mentality: you take charge and are accountable for results

Highly valued
Experience coordinating outside attorneys or managing cases
Google Workspace, digital signatures, document management
Filter test (60–90 min)
Anonymized case: disorganized file of a delinquent client. Prepare a file, write a demand letter in English, propose a strategy. Use of AI is allowed and expected.
