Job Description

•\ The Credit Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all loan information and documentation are accurate and that the consumer complies with our loan guidelines, including but not limited to: identity verification, KYC (Know Your Customer), OFAC, MLA, Reg. B, and TILA.
•\ When necessary, the Credit Specialist must contact the consumer to collect any additional information and/or documentation required to proceed with the loan verification process, as well as the verification and validation of those documents.
•\ Perform all necessary verification and validation steps, including income verification.
•\ Be responsible for the credit review process of each pre-approval, ensuring the proper management of the team's daily workflow.
•\ Assist with the department's phone tasks, including answering and redirecting incoming phone calls and emails in a timely manner.
•\ When necessary, communicate with external parties, including third parties such as merchants.
•\ Complete all required compliance training and stay updated on new policies and regulatory procedures.
