In the role of Data Engineer with Databricks, our focus will be to build and operate end-to-end data pipelines, ensuring flow, quality and maintainability.
Design, develop and maintain data ingestion, processing and transformation pipelines in
Data bricks
.
Implement data models and organizational strategies (e.g., boundaries and conventions) to support analysis and reporting.
Optimize performance (jobs, partitions, storage formats and configuration) for efficient costs and adequate response times.
Ensure data quality through validations, consistency checks and error handling/recovery.
Produce end-to-end traceability: documentation, lineage, and versioning and deployment best practices.
Collaborate with Software Engineering and stakeholders to understand requirements, prioritize and convert them into medicinal solutions.
Monitor processes and respond to incidents: review logs, metrics and alerts, and propose preventive improvements.

We are looking for a Data Engineer with practical experience in the data ecosystem and with a focus on building reliable, scalable and easy-to-maintain solutions. We value the combination of technical criteria, clear communication and orientation to continuous improvement.
What we need from you
Experience with
Data bricks
and work with data pipelines (ingestion, transformation and orchestration).
Solid knowledge of distributed processing and data formats for performance optimization.
Good data engineering practices: version control, documentation, testing/validation, and error management.
Experience implementing boundaries/models for analysis (e.g. through medallion or similar approaches) and ensuring consistency.
Ability to debug and improve work performance (reads/writes, partitions, configuration and tuning).
Knowledge of SQL and at least one development language (commonly Python/Scala, depending on the stack).
Quality mentality: validate data, detect anomalies and propose corrections with a preventive approach.
Effective communication: Explain decision-making techniques, raise risks early, and align expectations with non-technical teams.

Experience with workflow orchestration and scheduling (e.g., scheduled jobs, scheduling, and retry patterns).
Knowledge of data security and governance (permissions, role access, basic auditing).
Experience with monitoring/alert tools for pipeline operations.
Participation in data architecture design (modeling standards, conventions and scalability).
Experience working with multidisciplinary teams (Data, Backend, BI) and clearly stating requirements.
