At VEMO, we are an electromobility company that promotes clean mobility solutions for Mexico and Latin America. Our team promotes the development of the Impulso application, a platform with high financial impact whose backend is supported by Python and cloud technologies. We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to evolve services and APIs, guarantee performance, security and scalability, and collaborate in an agile way with product, frontend and mobile teams. This role reports to the Director of Technological Solutions and Clean Mobility within the Impulse department, with reach throughout Mexico.

Development of services and APIs in Python – 30%
Participation in the technical design of new functionalities – 15%
Integration with third-party services (wallets, scoring, validations, etc.) – 15%
Ensure performance and scalability of the backend – 10%
Implement tests and automations – 10%
Collaborate with frontend/mobile (optional use of React Native) – 5%
Cloud infrastructure management – 10%
Documentation and code review – 5%

We are looking for a Software Engineer or Architect with a solid background in backend and experience in fintech or digital products. You must master Python at an advanced level, RESTful API development and cloud computing (GCP, AWS or Azure) at an intermediate level. Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and knowledge of React Native at a basic/intermediate level will be an advantage.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science or similar; 4+ years of backend experience with Python; 2+ years in cloud; 2+ years working in multidisciplinary teams; 1+ year developing and integrating financial APIs; intermediate English.

Certifications in software development, cloud or fintech; experience in integrating financial APIs; advanced analytical thinking; product-oriented approach; excellent collaboration and communication skills; capacity for self-management and continuous learning.
