Looking for a backend developer to maintain and improve the systems that support the web application. The role involves working with modern technologies to ensure efficient performance and robust solutions that meet the needs of the application and end users.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain the backend systems that support the Foodsmart web application.
Collaborate with front-end engineers to design and implement APIs that meet front-end needs.
Establish and maintain development practices, including code reviews and testing, to improve code quality and system performance.
Work with the product team to understand end-user needs, formulate use cases and transform them into efficient backend solutions.
Debug and resolve production, server and database related issues.
Proactively monitor and optimize system performance and scalability.
Stay informed about emerging technologies and propose ways to incorporate them into backend development.
Requirements:
Knowledge of software engineering principles, including algorithms and data structures.
Experience with backend development tools and server architecture.
Knowledge of database design, management systems such as SQL or NoSQL, and integration with web applications.
Experience in code version control, such as Git.
Problem solving skills, attention to detail and disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to other team members and interested parties.
3 to 5 years of experience in backend development using one or more languages ​​such as JavaScript or TypeScript.
Knowledge of RESTful APIs and experience in their design and implementation for adequate performance.
Knowledge of SQL and noSQL databases, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL or DynamoDB.
Experience developing using AWS services such as Lambda, SQS, RDS and EC2.
Experience in low-code development platforms such as Retool will be an advantage.
Knowledge of Docker and experience with applications in container orchestration environments, such as Kubernetes.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Salary to receive
$135,000 - $160,000 / year
