Seeking a Senior Java Developer to design and build the core games and product platform for H5G. The position will help bring H5G to the highest level of social gaming, adopting and applying the latest technologies in server, Big Data and artificial intelligence.
The candidate will be a key player in the design and delivery of all H5G server systems, services and data stores, collaborating with developers, designers, testers and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of projects.
Responsibilities:
Design and build the heart of H5G's gaming and product platform.
Propelling H5G to the top of social gaming.
Support the adoption and application of the latest server-side technologies, Big Data and artificial intelligence.
Key contributors to the design and delivery of all server systems, services and data stores.
Collaborate effectively with developers, designers, testers and stakeholders to ensure project delivery.
Participate in project planning and estimating, providing realistic schedules and resources.
Stay up to date with the latest Java technologies, frameworks and best practices.
Requirements:
More than 6 years of practical experience in Java development.
Experience in server-side Java development.
Experience with real-time distributed systems (monolithic and microservices).
More than 5 years of experience in design and delivery of high volume and high availability backend infrastructures (Telcos, Trading, AdTech).
Understanding enterprise architecture patterns.
Experience in REST API design and implementation (preferred frameworks: Dropwizard, Spring Boot 2.5+).
Experience in server side gaming or trading is a plus.
Experience delivering systems using modern streaming systems and distributed databases (preferred: Google Pub/Sub, Kafka, Hazelcast).
Understanding of distributed systems concepts: leadership, consensus, synchronized replicas, partitioning.
Knowledge of Java 8/11/17+.
Understanding of key security concepts and patterns.
Good understanding of enterprise architectures and mobile application-oriented architectures.
Development and implementation of unit, integration and system tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
Experience identifying, diagnosing and resolving complex technical problems efficiently.
Advanced debugging and troubleshooting skills in production.
Experience with SQL and No-SQL databases (especially Cassandra and MySQL).
Familiarity with cloud-based Big Data tools (GCP preferred: BigQuery, BigTable).
Knowledge of real-time stream analysis (GCP Dataflow preferred).
Experience with build automation tools (Gradle, Jenkins, Nexus, Docker image repositories).
Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Docker, DataDog, Stackdriver.
Clear and concise writing of documentation for code, APIs and processes.
