Job Description

CODEZONE, a Spanish software development company located in Madrid, is looking for a Senior WordPress Developer / WordPress Expert with solid experience, an ambitious mindset and a real desire to grow within a demanding project, with a path and projection.

The position would begin working telematically, collaborating remotely with the team from the beginning. Later, depending on the evolution, fit and needs of the project, the possibility of moving to Spain for an in-person or hybrid stage would be assessed.

We are a company specialized in software development, web applications, mobile applications and APIs, working on products of different levels and complexity, including solutions with streaming, marketplaces, advanced integrations and digital experiences where the quality of execution makes the difference.

We are looking for a profile with a main focus on WordPress, capable of developing web projects with a high level of autonomy, technical criteria and results orientation. We want someone who not only assembles pages, but also knows how to build well-made, fast, scalable, efficient solutions prepared to truly work at a business level.

We want a person who understands WordPress at an expert level and who knows how to take a project from a functional need or design to a solid, well-structured delivery ready to grow. In addition, we are looking for a profile that has good web design and UX/UI criteria, so that they not only develop well, but also understand how to build clean, clear, usable and visually well-resolved pages.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a person with advanced and demonstrable experience in WordPress, both at a visual construction level and at a technical level.

We need a profile with very solid mastery in:

Expert WordPress Development
Construction of corporate websites, landing pages, blogs, commercial pages and more complex projects
Development of custom solutions within WordPress
Advanced layout and execution faithful to design
Ability to transform Figma designs into clean, modern and well-built websites
Mastery of Elementor, Gutenberg or equivalent builders, with professional judgment
Ability to work with custom themes and adapt themes in an advanced way
Development and customization of custom functionalities
Very good level of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP
Solid knowledge of WordPress internal structure
Ability to optimize websites for speed, performance and user experience
Good web design and UX/UI criteria
Sensitivity to building clear, usable, well-organized and visually well-kept pages
Criteria to build pages focused on efficiency, effectiveness and results
Good command of responsive design and mobile adaptation
Attention to visual detail and final product quality
