Job Description

We are looking for a COBOL Mainframe Developer to join a technological project, who will be responsible for evaluating, designing, developing and maintaining software solutions, carrying out the gathering and functional and technical analysis of requirements, with the objective of ensuring the operational continuity of IT services and delivering quality solutions to user areas.

Main functions
Evaluate, design and propose initiatives related to processes, systems and technologies.
Carry out functional and technical survey and analysis of requirements.
Create and modify pieces of software according to business requirements and needs.
Develop and modify solutions aimed at process automation.
Program functional, maintainable and quality code, complying with the standards defined by the technical leader and digital architecture.
Develop software solutions that make efficient use of available computing resources, considering memory, disk and processor.
Participate in the execution and certification of unit and end-to-end tests.
Validate pieces of software created or modified in different environments.
Perform and maintain quality unit tests on the components of the developed solutions.
Participate in the development and evolution of software solutions, ensuring compliance with the requirements and functionalities defined by the Product Owner.
Work collaboratively with technical teams and user areas to guarantee the quality and operational continuity of the solutions.
Technical requirements
Experience in COBOL Batch development.
Experience in COBOL CICS development.
FTP management.
Knowledge of PARMLIB.
Experience or management of TWS (Tivoli Workload Scheduler) meshes.
Management of TSO (Time Sharing Option).
Experience in executing and certifying unit and end-to-end tests.
Experience in software validation in different environments.
