The selected person will participate in the design, development and iteration of core gameplay systems, working closely with engineering, art and narrative teams to create coherent, balanced and engaging game experiences.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop and iterate core game systems, especially for third-person shooters.
Define and adjust player abilities, combat loops, cover systems, enemy behavior and progression.
Collaborate with engineering to prototype, validate and optimize game mechanics.
Oversee the creation of levels and encounters aligned with design objectives.
Guide the placement of covers, interactive elements and combat scenarios.
Work with environment artists to ensure consistency between aesthetics and gameplay.
Collaborate with narrative, animation and art teams to integrate systems and storytelling.
Review animations and visual elements to ensure clarity and good player response.
Ensure that the design reinforces the tone, narrative and pacing of the game.
Mentor junior and mid-level designers providing feedback and direction.
Participate in high-level creative decisions on the game's vision, pillars and roadmap.
Communicate design objectives and constraints to all teams involved.
Requirements:
Experience designing action or third-person shooter games.
Experience in video game development or related fields.
Passion for video games, especially third-person shooters.
Familiarity with engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine.
Communication and teamwork skills.
Problem solving skills and attention to detail.
Base in system design and understanding of player psychology.
