Job Description

Purpose of the position:
Design and layout attractive and functional visual experiences for websites, ensuring aesthetic coherence with the brand identity and optimizing usability on WordPress and other digital platforms.
Main responsibilities
•\ Design graphic interfaces for web pages, landing pages, blogs and e-commerce.
•\ Layout sites in WordPress using visual builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Divi, etc.) and/or basic code (HTML/CSS).
•\ Adapt and optimize designs for desktop, tablet and mobile (responsive design).
•\ Create digital graphic pieces (banners, sliders, iconography, mockups, newsletters).
•\ Collaborate with marketing and development teams to implement visual strategies.
•\ Ensure consistency with the brand's visual identity in all projects.
•\ Optimize images and resources to improve site speed and performance.
•\ Participate in the continuous improvement of the user experience (UX/UI).
Essential technical knowledge
Development and layout
•\ Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, basic JavaScript and responsive layout.
•\ Management of WordPress and WooCommerce: installation, configuration, customization of themes and plugins.
•\ Shopify experience: design and customization of templates, product configuration and payment gateways.
•\ Experience in other CMS or e-commerce frameworks (Magento, PrestaShop, etc.) is desirable.
Graphic and visual design
•\ Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, Adobe XD or similar.
•\ Creation of mockups, wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes.
•\ Design of banners, landing pages, digital promotional material.
UI/UX
•\ Principles of usability and accessibility.
•\ User-centered design: intuitive navigation, optimized conversion funnels.
•\ User experience testing (A/B testing, heatmaps, user feedback).
E-commerce and marketplaces
•\ Management of integrations with Amazon, eBay, Mercado Libre or other marketplaces.
•\ Knowledge of payment gateways (PayPal, Stripe, Cardnet, Visanet, etc.).
•\ Configuration of shipping methods and integration with logistics providers.
Personal competencies
•\ Creativity and innovation in graphic proposals.
•\ Attention to detail and orientation to visual quality.
•\ Ability to work under tight timelines and multiple projects.
•\ Effective communication with technical and business teams.
•\ Proactivity to propose design and usability improvements.
Training
•\ Graphic Design, Systems Engineering, Multimedia, Digital Communication or related careers.
•\ Courses or certifications in UI/UX Design, Web Design, WordPress/Shopify are highly valued
Required experience
•\ 3 to 5 years of experience in design and development of commercial websites and online stores.
•\ Proven experience in E-Commerce projects, including product catalogs, shopping cart, payment methods and logistics integrations.
•\ Experience in design and layout of user interfaces with a focus on usability and customer experience.
•\ Background in system design projects or digital applications (understanding functional flows in addition to visual design is desirable).
•\ Hands-on WordPress experience with demonstrable online projects.
