Job Description
This role requires a strong background in product design for complex technical environments, as well as the ability to transform advanced AI capabilities into intuitive, reliable, and trust-oriented user experiences.
Responsibilities:
Define and drive the design vision for PagerDuty's AI and automation capabilities, including AI agents.
Lead cross-functional collaboration with AI/ML engineering, product management, and data science teams to translate complex AI capabilities into intuitive and reliable user experiences.
Establish design principles and patterns focused on transparency, explainability and user control, with the aim of generating trust in autonomous and semi-autonomous systems.
Advise and guide designers throughout the organization in AI/UX best practices, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Conduct strategic research to understand how technical teams adopt and rely on AI-based recommendations, automation, and analytics in mission-critical contexts.
Collaborate with product managers to define the AI ​​and automation roadmap, balancing innovation, user needs and technical feasibility.
Represent the design area in executive-level conversations and contribute to AI strategy and product positioning at the corporate level.
Requirements:
More than 10 years of experience in product design, UX design or interaction design, with specialization in complex technical products.
3+ years of experience designing AI/machine learning products, intelligent systems, automation platforms, or data-driven applications.
Demonstrated experience leading design strategy and influencing product direction.
Portfolio that demonstrates experience in AI/UX, conversational interfaces, automation design or experiences with intelligent agents.

Salary to receive
$161,000 - $270,000 / year
