Job Description
Objective:
Responsible for delivering the Cambridge IGCSE program at higher levels and a STEM/ICT curriculum at early levels, promoting critical thinking, problem solving and the development of technical skills through practical and project-based methodologies.
Main functions:
•\ Deliver the Cambridge IGCSE Design and Technology program (years 10-11), including a specialism (Materials, Systems and Control or Graphic Design).
•\ Design and implement dynamic classes for lower secondary levels (years 7-9), preparing students for the IGCSE programme.
•\ Integrate engineering principles, basic programming, and digital skills into design projects.
•\ Supervise the safe use of shop tools and technologies such as laser cutters and 3D printers.
•\ Teach the use of CAD/CAM software for technical design, 3D modeling and manufacturing processes.
•\ Develop projects in areas such as product design, materials science, sustainable innovation and electronics.
•\ Evaluate the academic and practical performance of students using strategies aligned to international standards.
•\ Provide constant feedback that drives academic and technical development.
•\ Encourage critical thinking, research and informed decision making.
•\ Promote participation in competitions, exhibitions and extracurricular activities.
•\ Maintain accurate academic records and monitor the comprehensive development of students.
Non-Negotiable Requirements:
1. Advanced English
2. Expert level knowledge in industrial design, materials engineering, mechatronics engineer, architect.
3. Advanced mastery of technologies and tools such as 3D modeling.
4. Have the ability to translate a recent graduate profile into an educational program
5. Enjoyment of working with adolescents.
