The ideal candidate has worked directly with drayage carriers, port terminals, and container operations within U.S. ports. This role is responsible for tracking and tracing containers, coordinating with customers, verifying ETAs, and ensuring smooth communication throughout the container lifecycle from port arrival to final delivery and return to terminal. \n\nResponsibilities:\nMonitor and track container movements from port arrival through final delivery and return to terminal.\nProvide timely updates and proactive communication to customers regarding shipment status and ETAs.\nVerify container ETA information and ensure accurate tracking throughout the process.\nCoordinate and support documentation processes related to deliveries, returns, and port activities.\nMaintain communication with drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure operational efficiency.\nUse Google Maps and routing tools to estimate transit times and support dispatch planning.\nAccess and manage information through port terminal websites including Maher, PNCT, APM, Global Terminal, and others as needed.\nEnsure all shipment details, updates, and supporting documentation are properly recorded in the system.\nIdentify and escalate delays, issues, or exceptions impacting delivery schedules.\nSupport overall dispatch and logistics operations to ensure high customer satisfaction.\n\nQualifications:\nDirect experience working in drayage operations, including container pickups from port terminals, final delivery coordination, and empty container returns.\nExperience working directly with drayage carriers, port terminals, steamship lines, and container appointment systems.\nKnowledge of the Northeast USA geography and transportation routes.\nAbility to use Google Maps or similar routing tools to estimate transit times from point A to point B.\nExperience using port terminal websites such as Maher, PNCT, APM, and Global Terminal.\nExperience with container tracking and tracing processes.\nStrong communication and customer service skills.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills in English.\nAbility to work independently in a fast-paced environment.\nDetail-oriented with a proactive problem-solving mindset.\nExperience handling shipping documentation and delivery updates.\n\nWork Setup Requirements:\nTo perform this role effectively, you must have:\nA quiet home office space to work optimally.\nA stable internet connection (minimum 100 MB).\nA laptop/desktop with updated software.\nA secondary backup internet option to ensure reliability.",
