Denken Solutions Inc is an IT company with 15 years of experience with offices at California, Canada, India and Mexico, providing IT solutions in the United States.\nThe role is 100% remote from any location in Mexico. The client is located in the United States, so a fluent English level is required.\nHiring: Prestador de Servicios (Se solicitará factura timbrada por el SAT/ RESICO, Persona Física con Actividades Empresariales, etc)\nLabor Days: Mon- Fri from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST \nSalary: Up to $30,000 MXN gross\n\nAs an Electrical Estimator you will be responsible for evaluating project plans and specifications, performing accurate takeoffs, preparing competitive bids, and supporting preconstruction efforts. Youll collaborate with project managers, field operations, and clients to ensure bids are complete, accurate, and aligned with union labor requirements and California code compliance. \nKey Responsibilities: \n1. Project Review & Cost Analysis: \nReview electrical drawings, specifications, and scope documents to identify scope gaps, exclusions, and potential risks. \nConduct site visits and/or coordinate with project personnel attending job walks, to assess site conditions, access, and logistical challenges. \nCommunicate findings with the project management teams to ensure accurate cost analysis and risk assessment. \n2. Quantity Takeoffs & Material Pricing:\n Perform detailed quality takeoffs using estimating software and current labor units. \nDetermine quantities and pricing for materials, equipment, and labor. \nUse estimating software (e.g., McCormick, etc.) to develop cost breakdowns. \n3. Bid Preparation & Submission:\nReview bid invitations, drawings, and specifications to determine project scope. \nPrepare and submit competitive and compliant bid proposals. \nSolicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing. \nDevelop accurate bid proposals and clarifications. \n4. Client & Vendor Coordination:\nCommunicate with general contractors and clients to clarify scope and/or bidding requirements. \nWork closely with project managers, engineers, and the sales team during pre-construction. \nCoordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to gather accurate pricing. \nDevelop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors for competitive pricing. \nAttend pre-bid meetings, job walks and communicate RFI needs to GCs or engineers. \n5. Handoff & Support:\nPrepare a thorough bid recap and turnover complete package for the Project Manager and operations team. \nParticipate in internal turnover meetings to ensure a seamless project start-up. \nSupport the PM team with cost breakdown, budget and schedules as needed. \n6. Database & Market Maintenance:\nMaintain historical cost data and update unit pricing regularly. \nTrack bid results to assess competitiveness and refine estimating practices. \nStay up to date on market trends, material costs, and labor development. \nCoordinate with the internal team to update company qualifications or project portfolios as needed. \n7. Administrative & Office Support:\n Perform additional administrative tasks or special projects as requested by management to support departmental or company-wide operations. \nCore Competencies thorough in reviewing bid documents and assembling complete, accurate proposals.\nStrong understanding of NEC and California building codes. \nProficient in estimating software (e.g., McCormick, Accubid, Bluebeam, Excel). \nAnalytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy. \nEffective communication with internal teams and external partners. \nAbility to manage multiple bids and meet strict deadlines. \nMaintains orderly systems and ensures nothing falls through the cracks. \nQualifications:\n3-5+ years of experience estimating commercial, industrial or public works electrical projects. \nPrior union subcontractor experience preferred. \nKnowledge of IBEW labor classifications, local codes, and prevailing wage requirements. \nStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Bluebeam. \nManagement, Business, or related field preferred. \nAbility to travel to project sites as needed. \nThorough in reviewing bid documents and assembling complete, accurate proposals.\nStrong understanding of NEC and California building codes. \nProficient in estimating software (e.g., McCormick, Accubid, Bluebeam, Excel). \n Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.",
