Overview
GovCIO is seeking a highly skilled Electronic Quality Measures (eQM) ETL/SQL Engineer (Remote) to support the management and maintenance of the Veterans Affairs IT infrastructure. This role performs front end web application development, source control management, manages backend web service development and migration, and provides database support. This position leads web development architecture, resolves advanced issues, and drives performance enhancements. This is a fully remote position and within the United States.
Responsibilities
Designs, models, documents, and guides the logical and conceptual relationship of data and database changes for complex applications. Analyzes needs and requirements of existing and proposed systems, and develops technical, structural, and organizational specifications. May create standards and/or do modeling to monitor and enhance capacity and performance.
Maintain and enhance complex web applications with thousands of users across the VA
Support the migration of the eQM web application to the Azure cloud
Adhere to data quality best practices, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all datasets.
Oversee daily operations, monitoring processes to optimize performance and troubleshoot issues.
Integrate data from multiple sources, creating unified views that enhance decision-making and insights.
Facilitate data distribution, optimize accessibility and usability across relevant systems and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field15 years of relevant experience, or equivalent professional expertise (or commensurate experience)
Front end web application development (HTML, JavaScript - including Vue, Angular, etc., CSS - including Bootstrap, Tailwind, etc).
Back end web service development (C# / .NET, ORMs, etc.)
Source Control Management and CI/CD (git, github actions)
Database support (SQL, OLAP/MDX)
Clearance Required: Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
General web application hosting concepts (IIS, etc.), web security concepts
Experience with third party JS libraries and technologies (npm, webpack, jquery, underscore.js, Google Charts, etc.)
Certifications in relevant technologies

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Posted Salary Range
USD $160,000.00 - USD $180,000.00 /Yr.
