Job Description

At KaizenRH we are looking for an Engineering Manager to work within a leading Multinational Financial and Banking software company.

Tasks

Leadership and management
Lead, accompany and develop the team (1:1s, feedback, growth, hiring).
Plan and execute alongside Product/Operations, aligning priorities and ensuring delivery.
Improve processes (Agile/Lean), metrics and quality of execution.

Architecture and quality
Design and evolve the architecture of an orchestration/automation platform: scheduling, dependencies, events, integrations, monitoring and auditing.
Define engineering standards: code review, testing, CI/CD, observability, security, performance.
Ensure operational reliability: alerting, failure recovery and traceability.

Hands-on/Fullstack
Dig into the code: core features, refactors, complex reviews, troubleshooting and incident response.
Build and evolve a modern web console (admin/monitoring/operation) and robust APIs.
Enterprise integrations (systems, databases, connectors, automations).

AI-first
Use AI to accelerate the SDLC: assisted generation, refactors, tests, documentation, incident analysis.
Define good practices/guardrails (quality, human review, security, privacy and impact measurement)

Requirements
Experience leading teams (Engineering Manager / Tech Lead Manager / Lead) in B2B products or critical platforms.
Solid architecture design capacity (scalability, resilience, security, performance).
Real fullstack profile and hands-on (we want you to be able to contribute code when necessary).
Experience building APIs and integrations (REST, events, jobs/workers).
Good engineering practices: testing, CI/CD, code review, observability.
Clear communication and ability to align technique with business.

Stack / Expected technical knowledge
Frontend:
React, TypeScript
Vite/Next.js (desirable)
Testing: Jest/Vitest, Playwright/Cypress (desirable)
Component design, performance and DX
Backend/Platform:
Experience in at least one: Java or .NET C# (productive experience in critical systems ideal)
System patterns: queues/events (Kafka/RabbitMQ), workers/agents, scheduling
SQL databases (PostgreSQL / SQL Server / Oracle or others)
Infra/DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes (desirable), CI/CD (GitHub Actions/GitLab/Jenkins)
Observability: Prometheus/Grafana/ELK/OpenTelemetry (desirable)
Security / Enterprise
RBAC/permissions, auditing, secrets and hardening (desirable)

It is valued:
Background in Workload Automation / Scheduling / Batch (Control-M, Autosys, Rundeck, Airflow, etc.).
Experience in highly critical environments (banking/fintech/telecom/industry).
Reliability patterns: idempotency, retries, circuit breakers, backpressure.
Modernizations: legacy, React, observability improvements, scalability, DX.
