Job Description
The position is aimed at the management and evolution of Microsoft SQL Server databases within AWS environments. The position participates in administration activities, migration of databases from on-premise infrastructures to the cloud and support for deployment and operation processes in development and production environments.
Responsibilities:
Design and manage SQL Server databases in AWS environments (RDS, EC2).
Plan and execute database migrations from on-premise to AWS using tools such as AWS DMS.
Ensure performance, security and compliance of databases with client standards.
Resolve compatibility issues during migration and upgrade processes.
Support database deployments in CI/CD using tools such as GitLab and Flyway.
Monitor database performance and resolve incidents.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile or Kanban environments.
Requirements:
More than 10 years of experience as a Microsoft SQL Server DBA or Developer.
Experience with SQL Server.
Experience in database migrations to AWS (RDS, EC2).
Experience with AWS DMS or other migration tools.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
Knowledge of database monitoring tools (for example Foglight).
Knowledge of database performance optimization, HA/DR solutions, and security standards.
