Job Description

The Shopify Innovation project focuses on creating custom e-commerce solutions, apps and extensions for Shopify, connecting platforms with APIs, data and marketing tools to drive high-level performance, conversion and user experience.
The professional joins the Innovation area and collaborates with Marketing, Product and UX/UI to design, develop and maintain advanced Shopify stores. You will work with a modern stack (Liquid, React, Hydrogen, JavaScript/TypeScript) and maintain solid development practices (Git, code reviews, testing, performance). We are looking for a technical leader capable of guiding complex projects, optimizing performance and promoting the reuse of components in interdisciplinary teams.

Main functions
Develop advanced functionalities in Shopify stores using Liquid, React and Hydrogen.
Create extensions, filters and custom functionality based on JavaScript/TypeScript and Liquid.
Integrate third-party APIs and SDKs; manage webhooks for automation and data management (leads, inventory, payments).
Optimize frontend and backend code to improve performance and achieve high mobile scores.
Lead the structure and good development practices in collaborative projects (Git, code reviews).
Work alongside Project Managers and technical teams to plan tasks, communicate progress and coordinate execution times.
Participate in innovation projects with interdisciplinary teams (marketing, product, UX/UI).

Requirements and desired profile
+5 years of experience as a web developer and minimum 3 years working with Shopify. Mastery of Liquid and React for the creation of reusable components. Proven experience in Shopify projects with high traffic and performance. Professional English to collaborate with international teams (Chile, North America and Europe).
Competencies: ability to work in interdisciplinary and collaborative teams, autonomy, organization and logical thinking. Focus on performance, usability and scalability. Clear communication and ability to lead from a technical perspective.

Desirable requirements
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, Experience in additional marketing and ecommerce APIs, experience with WordPress/Divi/Sanity/Storybook, and familiarity with analytics and conversion rate optimization tools. We value experience in agile environments and capacity for technical mentoring.
