Job Description

At ACT S.A. We are looking for an Application Versioning Specialist to join our team on a Freelance basis.

We are looking for a professional with experience in repository management, version control and administration of collaborative development platforms, capable of contributing to the continuity, security and traceability of software development processes, promoting good governance and configuration management practices.

Main functions:
•\ Manage and maintain source code versioning and development collaboration platforms, such as GitLab or equivalent tools.
•\ Manage repositories, branches, access permissions and configurations associated with the software development life cycle.
•\ Support the implementation and improvement of integration, versioning and configuration management processes.
•\ Provide technical support to development teams on matters related to repositories, version control and DevOps best practices.
•\ Participate in backup, recovery and safeguarding activities of information associated with managed platforms.
•\ Coordinate updates, improvements and maintenance activities of the versioning tools.
•\ Collaborate on technological migration initiatives and management of platforms that are close to the end of support (EOS - End of Support).
•\ Ensure the availability, security and correct functioning of the environments under your administration.
•\ Prepare technical documentation and reports associated with the management of the platforms.

Requirements:
•\ Higher level professional or technical degree in IT, Programming, Computing or related field.
•\ Complementary training in configuration management, repository administration or DevOps tools.
•\ Minimum experience of 5 years in services related to administration of development, integration or software versioning environments.
•\ Minimum 2 years experience in administration and operation of GitLab or equivalent platforms such as GitHub, Bitbucket or Azure DevOps.
•\ Knowledge of repository administration, version control, and configuration management best practices.
•\ Experience in EOS (End of Support) software management, backups and technological migration processes.
•\ Have a course and/or certification in GitLab Administration, Git Fundamentals or similar DevOps tools.

Position conditions:
•\ Type of contract: Freelance with fee payment method.
•\ Participation in a rotating on-call scheme outside of business hours, including weekends and holidays.
•\ Shift system and schedules defined in accordance with the operational needs of the project, which will be communicated in advance according to the service planning.
•\ Participation in technological projects of high availability and operational continuity.
•\ Availability to comply with the operational and administrative conditions required by the service.
