Job Description
Leading technology company is looking for a FinOps Specialist with experience in cloud financial management and cost optimization in multi-cloud environments. The selected person will be responsible for leading visibility, control and optimization strategies for cloud spending using Cloudability as the main tool.
Main functions:
Cloudability administration and configuration: dashboards, reports, alerts and cost allocation models.
Cloud consumption analysis, forecasting and anomaly detection.
Identification of savings opportunities through rightsizing, storage optimization and resource management.
Management of Reserved Instances, Savings Plans and committed savings.
Implementation of showback/chargeback models.
Definition of cloud tagging and financial governance policies.
Automation of reports through scripting (Python/Bash) and integrations.
Collaboration with engineering, architecture, finance and business teams.
Preparation of executive reports and periodic reviews of cloud costs.
Requirements:
Systems Engineering, IT, Finance or related career.
3 to 5 years of experience in FinOps, cloud cost management or cloud infrastructure.
Practical experience with Apptio Cloudability.
Knowledge in AWS, Azure and/or GCP environments.
Experience in cost analysis, optimization and management of reserves/savings plans.
Knowledge of cloud billing models and cost management tools.
Advanced management of Excel or Google Sheets.
Basic knowledge of scripting in Python or Bash.
Experience with tagging, cloud governance and account/subscription models.
Desirable:
FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP) Certification.
AWS, Azure or GCP cloud certifications.
Experience with Power BI, Tableau or Looker.
Knowledge of Terraform, Kubernetes or ITSM tools such as ServiceNow/Jira.
Skills:
