We are looking for a professional to manage and supervise database systems, guaranteeing their reliability, stability and efficiency. The person will work alongside development teams to design, implement and maintain databases that meet end-user requirements.
Responsibilities:
Manage and monitor ClickHouse database clusters.
Manage and monitor MariaDB database systems.
Guarantee the reliability and stability of the system over time.
Guarantee the most efficient and profitable use of resources.
Collaborate with development teams to design, implement and maintain databases based on end-user requirements.
Periodically review the design of database systems and work to improve it.
Contribute to the improvement of team processes, following the best practices and principles of the sector.
Participate in team knowledge sharing activities.
Requirements:
Demonstrable experience in MySQL and MariaDB administration.
Experience in diagnosis, analysis and resolution of operational problems.
Experience in database performance analysis and optimization.
Knowledge of data partitioning and fragmentation.
Familiarity with agile methodologies and related management tools (JIRA, Confluence).
Written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
Knowledge of programming languages ​​such as PHP, Python and Go will be an advantage.
Previous experience with Big Data systems (Hadoop, Impala, ClickHouse) will be an advantage.
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
