Job Description

Hiring Objective
We are looking for a Senior Consultant or Financial Consulting Firm in Agribusiness to collaborate strategically in the preparation, formulation and validation of the Financial and Economic Viability Module within the executive technical files of irrigation technology, hydro-agricultural modernization and energy efficiency projects.

The files will be submitted to Financial Intermediaries (Commercial Banks / SOFOMES) under the funding and guarantee schemes of FIRA (Trusts Instituted in Relation to Agriculture).

2. Professional Profile / Required Office
Academic Training: Bachelor's or Postgraduate Degree in Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Administration, Agroindustrial Engineering, Finance or related areas.

Demonstrable Experience:

Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in the formulation and evaluation of bankable investment projects before the Mexican financial system.

In-depth knowledge of FIRA Project Formulation Methodologies and guarantee operation rules such as FONAGUA and Prosostenible.

Previous experience collaborating with Financial Intermediaries (Banks or SOFOMES) and understanding of their credit committees.

(Desirable) Registration or experience as a Technical Advisor / Credit Agent enabled or linked to the FIRA network.

3. Scope of Services (Deliverables)
The consultant or office will be responsible for comprehensively integrating the following elements for each file:

Model and Dynamic Financial Run (FIRA Layout):

Medium and long-term financial projection (from 5 to 14 years, depending on the useful life of the replacement credit).

Investment structure: sources of contribution (Own Capital vs. Bank Credit vs. Subsidies/Supports).

Calculation of the client's (Individual or Legal Person) capacity to pay and service the debt.

Profitability Analysis and Financial Metrics:

Determination of Free Cash Flow.

Calculation and interpretation of key profitability indicators: NPV (Net Present Value), IRR (Internal Rate of Return), Profit/Cost Ratio (B/C) and Breakeven Point.

Sensitivity and Risk Analysis:

Scenario modeling (optimistic, conservative and stressed) varying critical factors: volume of water saved, energy cost, variations in agricultural yields or hotel rates.

Technical-Economic Support of Savings:

Alignment of the operational savings generated by our engineering (water, electricity, fertilizers, labor) converted to cash flow terms to justify the source of credit payment.

Support in the Credit Committee Process:

Attention and resolution of observations or information requirements by the risk analysis area of the Financial Intermediary until final approval.

4. Expected Technical Capabilities and Tools
Advanced use of financial modeling software (advanced Financial/Agricultural Excel or approved project evaluation software such as UNIDO/MIR Methodology).

Mastery in reading and interpreting financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement) and Credit Bureau of agricultural and tourism companies.

Analytical capacity to translate the technical benefits of engineering design (L/s, kW/h saved, technical hectares) into financial return metrics.",
