Job functions
Own complex product features from concept through production, shaping architecture, implementing backend services in Go, and building responsive UI flows with React/TypeScript.
Design and evolve data models, APIs, and AI-assisted reporting tools, ensuring reliability, security, and usability for investigators in the field.
Work in an AWS-native, event-driven architecture using infrastructure-as-code and modern cloud primitives to scale systems while meeting stringent security and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with product and engineering leadership in a small, remote-first team to influence platform evolution and user experience.
Apply strong engineering hygiene: test-driven development, DRY principles, and maintainable abstractions to support long-term growth and easier changes over time.
Review own work critically, anticipate failure modes, and ship features that remain stable after release without frequent revisits.

Qualifications and requirements
We're looking for engineers at a Senior (L5) to Staff (L6) level equivalent to FAANG standards. In particular, we’re seeking a senior full-stack engineer who can deliver production-grade software end-to-end. You should have demonstrable experience shipping full-stack web applications in production environments, fluency with Go, React, TypeScript, Playwright, Github Workflows, AWS-based architectures, and a track record of taking ownership of features from design through deployment. In your application, specify your experience with each of the aforementioned technologies.
Ability to design and maintain isolated test environments, provisioning test suites that cover end-to-end scenarios and edge cases. You’ll build production UIs and extend or adapt them as needed. Practice test-driven development, write clean, well-factored code, and craft interfaces that feel intuitive to real users. A passion for UX, clarity, and delivering robust software in high-stakes settings is essential. You’ll thrive in a fast-moving, remote-first environment and value shipping right the first time, with an eye toward maintainability and long-term viability.

Desirable skills
Strong collaboration and communication skills, experience with Material UI, accessibility and responsive design familiarity with data modeling for complex investigations, and a mindset geared toward user-centered design. Prior experience in public-safety or similar high-trust domains is a plus. Comfortable working across product and engineering leadership to drive outcomes, and capable of balancing speed with quality and long-term maintainability.
