We are looking for a Manager to take charge of the team responsible for the IT platform that supports all the company's backend services. The selected person will combine technical leadership and team management to define the evolution of the platform, guaranteeing the scalability, reliability and operational excellence of the systems.
Responsibilities:
Lead, develop and mentor a team of software engineers specialized in platforms and infrastructure.
Define the architecture and evolution of the computing platform, prioritizing scalability, reliability and the experience of the development teams.
Actively participate in the design, development and optimization of critical services related to orchestration, provisioning, scaling and execution environments.
Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security and Backend teams to define priorities and ensure efficient integrations.
Conduct individual meetings, performance evaluations and team professional development actions.
Drive a culture of technical excellence, responsibility and improvement.
Translate strategic objectives into execution plans and ensure their implementation.
Make technical decisions that favor the evolution of the platform in the long term.
Promote good practices in software development, automation, observability and operations.
Requirements:
More than 7 years of experience in software engineering.
At least 2 years of experience in technical leadership or engineering team management.
Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS (EC2, ECS, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch).
Experience developing distributed backend systems with Golang.
Advanced knowledge in platform engineering, infrastructure, orchestration, observability and system reliability.
Experience with Kubernetes, containers and service mesh technologies such as Istio or Envoy.
Knowledge of infrastructure as code using Terraform, Pulumi or AWS CDK.
Experience implementing CI/CD processes with tools such as GitHub Actions, CircleCI or similar.
Knowledge of Linux systems, networks, monitoring and alert systems.
Leadership, communication and team management skills.
