Job Description

Fiber Gourmet makes high-fiber foods: Italian-produced pasta, Thinables cookies, baking flour, macaroni and cheese, and rice-type pasta.

The position is hands-on and has no staff in charge. The person prepares and sends purchase orders, receives against those orders, follows up with the supplier until the issue is closed, and maintains the inventory: stock, open orders, delivery times and reorder point.

It also monitors the plants that produce for the brand and production dates, closes surpluses, shortages and refunds, maintains the forecast, calculates the landed cost when a new customer comes in, and monitors distributor accounts in the United States. Every week send the list of open topics, with the person responsible, next step and date.

Hours Monday through Friday, during United States business hours. Fluent spoken and written English, computer and stable internet are required.

We are looking for someone with 3 or more years in food purchasing, inventory or supply chain, who has created purchase orders and put together a forecast.
