Job Description

We are looking for a Graphic Designer (English B2–C1), freelance and 100% remote from anywhere in Latin America, for a Canadian manufacturer of lighting and electrical products.

About the role:
We are looking for a Graphic Designer to work alongside the in-house Marketing team of a Canadian manufacturer, producing the packaging, merchandising and digital assets behind its product brands. This is production-focused design: precise, template-driven work where accuracy and consistency matter as much as creativity. If you learn quickly, deliver on deadline and want to grow inside a fast-moving retail marketing environment, this is for you.

Why this role is worth your time:
- 100% remote, home office from anywhere in Latin America
- Freelance engagement with an international client, working directly with the Marketing team
- A long-established manufacturer that still runs on a start-up culture and an energetic pace
- Real variety and growth: packaging, print and digital assets across the full product range
- AI tools and modern workflows are welcome as part of how the work gets done

What you'll do:
- Design and produce packaging, merchandising materials and instruction manuals, following brand guidelines and approved artwork templates.
- Create and update new and existing online assets, product packaging and its components, respecting established templates and processes.
- Prepare and deliver production-ready files so assets integrate correctly into the marketing platforms and systems.
- Manage and track approved digital proofs as assigned.
- Follow marketing procedures and production workflows precisely.
- Provide written progress updates to the project manager and internal clients, and meet assigned deadlines.
- Collaborate with the marketing team and creative leads to keep design consistent across the brand.

Requirements:
- Conversational English, B2 (upper-intermediate) minimum; C1 preferred
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in graphic design
- Advanced proficiency in the latest Adobe Creative Suite
- Advanced proficiency in InDesign
- Associate degree or higher in graphic design
- Design portfolio, submitted with the application
- Own equipment: 16 GB RAM, 500 GB–1 TB storage, Intel Core i9 or equivalent processor

Nice to have (not required):
- Packaging design experience
- Working knowledge of AI design tools and workflows
- French
- Detail-oriented, resourceful and self-directed, comfortable running several projects at once under deadline pressure
- Comfortable giving and receiving feedback

Working conditions:
- Contract: freelance – independent contractor
- Pay: negotiable (according to experience)
- Schedule: full-time availability with core overlap to Montreal business hours (Mon–Thu approx. 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. ET with a 1-hour break, Fri 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. ET), with 1–2 hours of flexibility for other time zones.
- Start date: as soon as possible
- Benefits: independent contractor engagement; statutory employment benefits do not apply.

About the client:
A Canadian company that designs, develops and manufactures lighting and electrical products, working with an in-house marketing team based in Montreal. Long-established, with a start-up culture and an energetic work environment.
