In an industrial company dedicated to the manufacturing of frozen foods, with operations in Colombia and Spain, we are looking to incorporate a Food Engineer to join the team to strengthen the area of ​​Operational Excellence, Quality and Production.
This role is key in the consolidation of operational excellence and in the professionalization of production processes. The selected person will have a direct impact on food safety, regulatory compliance and industrial efficiency, with a focus on

You will be the technical-productive reference of the operation, coordinating directly with production, maintenance and logistics to ensure compliance with operational objectives. You will lead product developments, adjustments and improvements from a technical and industrial vision, ensuring robust, efficient processes aligned with defined standards.
The process includes an in-person induction in Bogotá, followed by a base performance in Spain, offering an international professional experience in a demanding, structured and growing industrial environment.

What will you do in this role?
1. Production of frozen products, Planning and Control of Losses
You will be responsible for planning the production of frozen products, considering installed capacities, yields and quality standards. You will systematically analyze the variations in the production processes, formulation, weights, temperatures, dehydration and absorption typical of the freezing operation, and you will identify, measure and control losses, waste and process deviations.
You will investigate root causes and propose improvement actions aimed at optimizing performance, reducing losses and strengthening industrial efficiency, ensuring the stability and standardization of production processes.
2. Quality and Food Safety You will guarantee that production and freezing processes meet the highest quality and food safety standards. You will ensure the correct application of the cold chain from the receipt of raw materials to the finished product. You will implement, maintain and improve the HACCP system (HACCP) and quality standards (IFS, BRC, ISO 22000). You will carry out and supervise physical-chemical, microbiological and sensory quality controls, manage non-conformities, complaints and corrective and preventive actions, and actively participate in internal, external and customer audits, ensuring compliance with current food legislation in Spain and the European Union.
3. Process Management and Continuous Improvement You will prepare, update and ensure compliance with procedures, SOPs, technical instructions and records. You will lead the standardization of production processes to guarantee stability, repeatability and efficiency. You will work transversally with production, maintenance and logistics to meet operational objectives, and you will support product developments, adjustments and improvements from a technical and industrial perspective.
4. International Work and Knowledge Transfer You will join an operation with a presence in Spain and Colombia, participating in an in-person induction process in Bogotá to learn about the operation in depth. You will facilitate the transfer of good practices, learning and standards between both operations, strengthening consistency and operational excellence at an international level.

• Minimum experience of 3 to 5 years in the food industry.
• Experience in frozen foods, meat or industrial products is desirable.

• Knowledge of freezing, ultra-freezing and cold chain processes.
• Management of computer tools (Excel, management systems).
• Technical English valuable.
• Legal residence to work in Spain.
