Looking for a professional to learn and develop experience in functional programming with Scala and related frameworks, contributing to the technical design of backend functionalities and the development of the platform that supports multiple products. The position involves collaborating with different teams to ensure the efficiency of technical solutions and system stability.
Responsibilities:
Learn and develop experience in functional programming with Scala and related frameworks.
Create and drive the technical design of backend functionalities.
Contribute to core platform functionalities that support multiple products, such as identity, authentication, APIs, and shared services.
Support software implementations, including debugging, troubleshooting, and coordination with DevOps and QA engineers.
Collaborate with product and design teams to break down work, evaluate trade-offs, identify risks, and align solutions with business objectives.
Investigate, resolve and document the root cause of technical problems in production.
Develop and monitor software system validation procedures and automated testing.
Research and propose new technologies, industry trends and recommended practices to drive team and product advancement.
Work in a collaborative team environment to deliver impactful financial products.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
5+ years of experience designing, building and debugging large-scale cloud-based applications.
Experience with Scala developing professional backend software.
Experience designing, implementing, monitoring and debugging large-scale solutions in cloud-based environments such as AWS, GCP or Microsoft Azure.
Knowledge of event source systems that use streams and events. Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka is an advantage, experience with AWS Kinesis, GCP Pub/Sub, AMQP or other relevant systems is also acceptable.
Knowledge of SQL and RDBMS environments; Practical experience with AWS RDS (MySQL or Postgres engines) is an advantage, with experience with other RDBMS being acceptable.
Knowledge of NoSQL data stores using JSON data structures.
